Fee-Based Expanded Learning Before and After School Programs

The Fairmont Elementary Child Care Program provides a challenging, safe, and nurturing atmosphere for the growing child, addressing their emotional, physical, intellectual, and social well-being needs. Appropriate curriculum emphasizes the areas of art, music, physical education, and the sciences. A homework area is available for children to complete their school assignments. We observe an open door policy where parents are welcome to visit the centers at any time.

The child care center is open Monday – Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, including minimum and staff development days.

Operating Procedures

Hours are not transferable to another day. There are no splitting hours for any of the options. An additional hourly fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) will be charged for each hour, or part thereof, beyond the regular contracted schedule. There is NO additional fee for Minimum and Staff Development Days for children enrolled in after school only or the before and after school options per day if it is the child's regular day. Any child not picked up by 6:00 PM will be charged a late fee of one dollar ($1.00) per child per minute.

Fees are based on year-round enrollment (First day of school -Last day of school). Prorated amounts will not be granted for non-school days (including furlough days, if applicable) and Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Recesses. This includes part-time rate plans. Additional fees for Fall Camp, Winter Camp, and Spring Camp apply. Tuition for Camps are $15.00 per child, per day for those already enrolled in a before and after or an after school only 2, 3 and 5 day program. For those on a before school only (option G) two hour (option H) program, tuition for Camps will be $25.00 per child, per day. There is NO prorating for these weeks. The Summer Program will operate on a different contract.

The Expanded Learning Department is a self-sustaining program funded through parent fees.

A ten percent (10%) discount is given on the lowest tuition fees for siblings enrolled in any PYLUSD Child Care Program. No discount is allowed on contracted schedules for options G and H: Before School Only and After School Only two (2) hours. Parents must notify each site of sibling enrollment. Discount begins when sites are notified.

NO CREDIT for absences and/or holidays will be given. THIRTY DAY (30) WRITTEN NOTICE for withdrawal from the program is required. Tuition is due on the FIRST (1st) of each month. NO CASH PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED.

Children MUST be signed in and out at the Expanded Learning/Child Care Center each day (using the Center's iPad) and may not be dropped off at the curb. Children must be signed out and/or picked up each day by parent/guardian or an adult ( 18 yrs. or older) authorized by the parent/guardian in writing on file with the Child Care Center. This procedure is for your child's safety and MUST be adhered to at all times. Additional information may be obtained by calling the appropriate Expanded Learning/Child Care Center or Expanded Learning/Child Care Site Office.
