Dear Fairmont families,
We have a lot to celebrate here at Fairmont. Our students just completed i-Ready Diagnostic 2 for reading and math. I am very happy to report that we saw wonderful growth as a school. In reading, 47% of Fairmont students have already exceeded the typical yearly growth of students in their same grade level nationally. In math, our students also demonstrated great growth with 32% surpassing the typical yearly growth. These results are especially impressive because we still have nearly half of the school year to work on these important skills. We are confident that our students will continue to see great progress.
Please join the teachers and me in congratulating your children on their success. Next, continue to encourage students to work hard as we live our motto, “Together in Excellence.” Teachers will be sharing with you a detailed report regarding your child’s growth in i-Ready. Please review the report with your child and talk with them about setting goals for the remainder of the year. Most of all, be your child’s greatest cheerleader as they continue to excel in their academics throughout the school year.
