Collecting recycling from car line - Volunteers are present during drop off on two specified Wednesdays to collect aluminum cans and plastic bottles. We are looking for volunteers to be at D-Village and Main Gate. This role is from 7:55 - 8:30 AM, so it is a great way to help without impacting your schedules (bring your students early with you and let them assist).
Take recycling to local recyling company - We have a relationship with Sanchez Recycling (off Lakeview), so they are ready for us on Wednesday mornings. Due to the volume of recycling, we think we can move to transporting recyclables every other week instead of weekly. Volunteers would load and transport recyclables from PTA storage and Wednesday collection. They will then return a provided envelope to the front office PTA lock box at Fairmont. A truck, SUV, or minivan would be helpful in this role, but is not required.
